Fall

I'm not coming back here to make any promises of updating this very often. The point of this blog has basically become a way to look back. A memory book. A way to keep family members updated on what's going on. So what's the point of reading lots of promises about updating often? (There's none)

Anyways, onto the actual post!

Iced coffee. Needs no other caption.

The Space Needle. The weather has been amazing. We've seen sunlight! But it's really cooling down now...
Took this pic first day of school- though "rainy mood" pretty much summed up how I felt about leaving summer behind.
Apart from school, we've not been doing a ton. We started up a co-op on Monday. I suppose that counts as school, doesn't it? I've also been giving our tablet a workout and drawing a lot. I couldn't help  but make the header of this post a doodle.
That's all for now! XOXO- Sonja

Driving!

Hello again :)
These past couple of weeks have been pretty crazy- I started a driving class. It's four days a week! I just got my permit also. So lots of practice driving. That's pretty much what the main goal of this summer will be- getting all the practice hours i need to and practicing for the test. Hence why it's been a while since i've posted. After class today I hung out and got ready for tomorrow. That wasn't much- just cutting out some fondant stars and getting the cupcakes made. Hopefully i'll be on again soon to post pictures of what we're doing for the forth. I'm making cupcakes, my go-to party desert. We also picked up some little fireworks. You can buy so many more things here then you could in Denver or Billings.
Apart from class i've just been enjoying not having to do normal school, although that will change in a couple days because I'm going to have to do some schoolwork throughout the summer. Sigh. It doesn't really feel like summer here- keeping steady in the 60s and maybe 70s. It's been so strange after the heat of Denver. No outdoor swimming and no tanning (or sun-burning more often then not). Just rain. And mist. An fog. Okay, maybe i'm exaggerating a little bit, but you get the picture. The weather is just not summer. Anyways, I gotta go and not rant on about the weather here anymore...

Bangs

Hello :)
This is just a quick update to say I cut my bangs, with the help of my mom. Very scary but happy with the results!

Hi all :)
I'm taking time to write this post after a crazy week! Our cousins stopped in from Montana for Easter and my Grandmothers birthday this week- that is 4 kids and my aunt and uncle. Lots of people! We had a lot of fun with them though. Also, on the 9th family friends Carmeliza and Mike flew in with their 2 kids. So for a day there were fifteen people in our house. Very chaotic, as you could possibly guess.
When the cousins showed up we went to port of Everett and watched the water and sunswet. My cousins Maddi, Sophie, Annalis, and Brennan as well as Sarah and I spent a lot of time at the basketball court across the street. Fun times! One day we drove up to the La Connor area- there were supposed to be lots of tulips blooming but no joy. There were planty of daffodils though, and it was a pretty drive. We even went on a ferry and over a bridge called "deception pass" whcih was really pretty. Easter was fun- did a treasure hunt of sorts and had really good ham. And of course we died eggs! For my grandmothers birthday we went out to a Mexican resteraunt called ToDo Mexico. Yum.
Then we said goodbye the the cousins- but only for 6 weeks- and started with Carmeliza and fam. We all drove up to see if the tulips were in bloom, but still no joy. Same pretty drive though. Today we went on the "Ride the Ducks of Seattle" tour thing. We did it last September but it was still fun. Very cold though, especielly on the lake! And now... this.
I can't seem to come up witha lot to write even though it was a big week with lots of stuff! Oh well :)

And may the odds be ever in your favor

Hi!
Bout time for another post, yes? Today was epic- we went and saw the Hinger Games. (Hence the AWESOME title ;) It was actually really good and kept with the book. Confession time- I've read the first book 3 times! And i've read the second and third twice. So that was epic. We went down to Lynnwood to the Lowe's theatre. This was the first movie we've been to there. IT's got a pretty big entrance- with an escalator- and the IMAX was not disappointing. Another thing that made today epic was the weather. 50s and sunny! Dry pavement alert in Seattle, actually. :) So when we got home we just left the windows open to enjoy the weather (okay, just a little chilly for leaving the windows open but whatever) and had quesadillas. We also watched My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. It's crazy! Can't believe the dresses...
Yesterday, after we were done with school we did a major house cleaning. Really shined the place up, ya know? Haha! The week has been pretty uneventful really, just school and cleaning and life. (jeez that sounds almost DEEP)
Also- BIG NEWS. I added some new pizzaz to the blog! New background, basically. Fun stuff!
Alright, I'm gonna go before I make this five pages long ;)

Hey-oh

Hello and happy Monday!
Today had been pretty good and low key. Got up at 6:30 for science class, and then headed down to make some breakfast. Well... that didn't go as planned. I made French Breakfast Muffins, amd either I really messed it up, or the recipe was really really really awful. I hate to think it's the first one, but I have to face the truth. I reallllly messed them up. So then I went to plan B, which was french toast ( I only make "French" breakfast foods ;) We only had a thin loaf of bread so it was "Le Petit French Toast". Ummm... Ya. But the day perked up when my dad sister and I went for a drive up the mountains. It was really pretty- and I can't belive we live so close to the mountains. We were able to see mountains in Denver but the drive we took today would have only gotten us to maybe the foothills. We were in the mountains proper here though, and saw some really pretty snow covered peaks and the sun was out and everything. Yes, I mentioned the sun was out. That was a major plus. In fact, the weather report says that it's going to rain from today till next Thursday at 5. (We have very precise weather apps lol). So sun if AWESOME. Then we headed home to do the most interesting thing EVER. Yes, I mean clean the house. The thing is, we have company coming in (drum roll please) 2 weeks. Eep! My room is, to put it mildly, a MESS. And little Echo is in her teething-so-i'll-chew-up-everything stage.  Actually she mostly chews up paper towels, but those are a pain to clean up as she makes 'em into little teensy tiny pieces and drags them alllll over the house. Wish us luck!
Anyways, how about somepitures to take my mind off cleaning?

I obviously had some fun with filters....
Goodnight y'all. XOXO- Sonja

Eep!

Hello! Can't believe it's been nearly a month since my last update!
I think I've not been updating this because not a lot has been happening... School, school, school. Arg- summer can not get here fast enough! (and that seems a reasonable time to go into the weather) It's been rainy here. Yes, that sounds stupid it being the Seattle area, but it's not usually rain rain, it's more of a constant drizzle. And lack of sun. And moss growing everywhere. But it's been poring.  And that's depressing because I straighten my hair and if i let rain touch my hair it frizzes up like you wouldn't believe. Why is that a problem when you have umbrellas, you ask? Because around here only tourists and "weirdos" use umbrellas. I have lost caring since it took my about an hour to get my hair straight this morning. There you go.
How about a nice update on school? Doesn't that sound fun? No it doesn't, so I won't...
I gotta go! Try and update tomorrow.
